The HTC Eternity might not look much different than other HTC handsets but it's definitely worth your attention – it's got a humongous 4.7-inch display, nearly eternal in today's smartphone market and definitely the the biggest we've seen so far on a smartphone. It's a Super LCD screen with WVGA resolution. When it comes to the software, judging by the front facing camera, it will run the latest update of Windows Phone, Mango.

A single-core 1.5GHz processor runs the whole show, while the rest of the spec sheet is pretty standard for a high-end device: an 8-megapixel auto-focus camera with dual-LED flash supporting 720p HD recording, the 1.3-megapixel front-facing cam, 16GB of internal storage, along with Wi-Fi, DLNA, GPS and Bluetooth for connectivity.

The biggest question with such a big screen is of course the battery life, so we hope that the 1,650mAh juicer that's included will suffice to get us at least through a day. When can you get it? Not earlier than this fall as that's when Mango comes out, but for those with a fetish for big screens, the wait should be worth it.
