Nokia sees graphene as new super material
Nokia might have stumbled upon something interesting that could usher in a new age of devices with
the possibilities offered by graphene, a new kind of super-material. Graphene isn’t exactly well known,
where it is an allotrope of carbon alongside a 2D structure that measures a mere one atom thick – or should we say, thin?
Despite being that thin, it is still one of the strongest materials tested ever,
boasting a breaking strength that is 300 times greater than steel while being super flexible,
light and is an intrinsic conductor par excellence.
Industry observers do wonder whether this could be the material of the future, replacing silicon as the base for all electronics – what do you think about it?
